Back when my friend and I made the 700+ mile car journey down south to Weston Super Mare to see Banksy’s Dismaland and Bristol for the Shaun in the City exhibition, we knew we were going to be arriving early in the morning and we were going to need to find a place for breakfast. Luckily a quick search online informed us The Milton Larder was open at 7:00am for the morning rush.
At the time, all I could think of was that I was starving and I needed a decent breakfast. I couldn’t contain my excitement when we drove past the entrance and immediately parked the car to get my much needed sustenance. The shop is small, but the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Larder also has baked goods of the day which you could indulge in after your meal.
The food looks delicious with very reasonable prices compared to what you would pay for the same dish here in Edinburgh. I decided to treat myself to something I’ve come to really enjoy for breakfast: a pot of tea and French toast wiht bacon and maple syrup.
I couldn’t believe this only cost £2.85!
After driving around for the whole day between Weston Super Mare and Bristol, we were able to have a quiet meal with some friends and have a look around the harbour at night time.
The Milton Larder is open Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 2:00pm, and is located at 262 Milton Road, Weston Super Mare, BS22 8EN. For enquiries, phone 01934 709545 or e-mail The Milton Larder.
