Photos from our trip to the Scottish Highlands: Part 1

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, my best friend of 25 years (eek, it’s been that long!) came to visit the UK for the first time. As any friend would do, the OH and I decided it would be a nice wee trip to go to the Highlands. After all, you can’t fully appreciate the beauty of Scotland without seeing the Highlands!

There are still quite a lot of places in the Highlands that I haven’t seen yet, but we picked two towns to visit and Aviemore was the first. In photos, I tried to capture the beauty of the wildlife at the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie as well as the natural surroundings, not cluttered with modern housing and technology. Instead of staying at a B&B, we preferred the convenience and comforts of a wigwam in Badaguish, situated in the Cairngorm National Park.

The Highland Wildlife Park is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm and is at Kincraig, Kingussie PH21 1NL. For further information or enquiries, phone 01540 651270.
