My first ever trip to North Wales has been truly remarkable. We were there for 6 days and it’s gone by so quickly, I can’t believe it’s already back to work and the usual routine of feeding the cats, getting up early for work and any other projects I’ve still got to work on.
It’s been a great learning experience and something I’ve always wanted to be able to do: look after animals and try something new that I haven’t done before, so going to North Wales and helping out on a farm during lambing season definitely ticked 3 of those boxes. We were well looked after and had lots of fun rugby tackling ewes (female sheep) and sterilising the belly buttons of wee lambs, feeding them and helping out wherever it was needed.

Turquoise noses because of the antibiotic spray
I’ve nicknamed the lambs with macs…MacBabies!
Molly is a happy gal when she gets her meal of the day
We stopped by Tebay Services in Westmoreland on the way back, definitely recommend visiting their farm shop
Those are photos I’ve got from my trip, I definitely enjoyed my stay and even rooted for the Cymru in their Six Nations rugby match against France over the weekend. I know it’ll be one of those places I’ll enjoy coming back to in the near future
