Wedding done, pleated skirt to go!

Now that I’m back from Germany for a wedding, it’s safe to say that it was a beautiful moment, getting to see a good friend of mine marrying a guy who cherishes her and is her match in every way. I was more than excited to wear the watercolour print dress I made which I had decided to wear for this occasion for the very first time:

Dress: my own; Bracelet: Argento; Bag: evening ‘Ballet’, Dior; Shoes: Nude platform heels, New Look

One of the things that isn’t too noticeable about the dress is that the left side of the neckline is slightly raised. OH raised concerns that this might happen, but while it was still on the hanger, it wasn’t too apparent, but I’ll need to unpick the left sleeve and take in the dress a little so the neckline will lay flat.

In terms of how far I’m getting along with my pleated circle skirt project, I’m finally making some progress. I haven’t yet done anything with the fabric I got from Pins and Needles, but after some trial and error, I did manage to finally get the pleater board done for which I’m very proud of. I’m hoping to post full step-by-step instructions for the whole process within the next few days.

For the time being though, here are some pictures I took from the wedding:
